Club Notes
September 8th 2019
Underage
Next Friday evening our U6, U8s and U10s are having a blitz with St Ronans in Cootehall at 6:30pm for boys and girls. This will be the last session for the year for U6s and U8s.           U10s will continue for another few weeks. Hope to see everyone there.
Well done to all our underage players who took part in the County Blitz last Saturday.

Our U.12 team play St. Ciaran's in the Division 2 Summer League on this Thursday evening at 7pm in Cootehall. The Division 5 U.12 team also have a home game when they play Elphin/ Ballinameen on this Saturday morning at 11am. The Div 5 team were defeated by St. Ronan's last weekend.

The U14 boys came up against stronger opposition in the Garda Cup this week when they played Strokestown but put in an encouraging performance right to the end of the game.
They were due to play St Ciarans in the Championship last Sunday morning but received a walkover from St Ciaran's. 
Best of luck to the U12's on our panel in their upcoming games this week.

St Michaels Ardcarne Garden sponsored Minor boys team received a walkover in their last championship game as Kilglass Barry's couldn't field. Their next game is away to Kilmore Shannon Gaels next Thursday at 7pm.

Junior Men
St. Michael’s were defeated by Clann na nGael in the third round of the junior championship on Saturday having already qualified for the quarter finals which take place the weekend of 21/22 Sept.



Ladies
The Junior ladies played a thrilling semi-final against Oran on Sunday last. 
 Final score was Oran 2 -10 St Michaels 2-05 
The Team Sarah Smyth, Aisling Bruen, Aoife Guckian, Emear Dowd, Ciara Dowd, Noelle Martin, Miryam Daly, Clodagh Sheerin, Cara Clancy, Madebh Duignan, Edel Gallagher, Tara Early, Katie Corcoran, Anna Corcoran, Roisin Henry, Chloe Cooney, Millie Early, Amy Tiernan, Aoibhe Rynn, Amy Gallagher, Àine Harte and Sadie Farrell.   Management Team: Stephen McGuinness, Theresa White and  Máire Ni Dhonnchadha. Thanks to Tara Marina Restaurant and Bar for the meal they provided after the game and thanks to St Michael's club, Stephen McGuniness and Theresa White for sponsoring the girls  


The Combined under 16 girls had a convincing win over St Faithleachs they play Strokestown away on Tuesday next in the Division 4 semi-final best of luck to the girls and their management team Harry Rynn and Joan Tiernan.  

The combined under 12 finished their session today with a blitz in Croghan organised by Shannon Gaels thanks to Management Joe and Michael
