AILEEN DALY
R.I.P
It was with immense sadness that we learned of the
passing of one of our most dearest and valued club members on Thursday.
Aileen has left her mark on so many diverse
aspects of GAA and LGFA administration at club and county level that it is
easier to number the roles she hasn't filled. Her loss will be felt throughout
the club, in the wider community and further afield.
We send our sincere sympathy to Kevin, Jack, Miryam and Ellen and the extended Daly and Kelly families.
Ar dheis Dé go raibh a h-anam uasal.
Gaelic 4 Mothers & Others (G4M&Os) is a fun,
non-competitive social outlet for Mother's and Others over the age of 25. It is
to encourage women to continue or take up football and to meet new friends as
well. New members are always welcome. If you think you might be interested in
joining us, please come along tomorrow evening and see what we are about.
Mothers
and others have their first game this year tomorrow evening (Monday 29th
May). They play St. Mary's in Ardcarne Park at 8.30pm
MINOR BOYS REACH LEAGUE FINAL
Ardcarne
Park hosted the Minor Division 3 League Semi-final on Wednesday evening last
with Tulsk making the journey to take on the home side. St Michael's-St Ronan's
were quick out of the blocks, jumped into an early lead and held a commanding
advantage at the interval, ahead by 1-13 to 3pts. A strong showing after the
restart quelled any chance of a comeback and the boys were convincing winners in
the end. Full-time: St Michael's-St Ronan's 4-19 Tulsk 0-7.
The
league final against Elphin-Ballinameen will take place in Croghan on Wednesday
(31st May) with throw-in at 7.30pm. We wish the players and coaches the very
best of luck in the final and hope a large number of our members and supporters
will turn out to cheer on the team on Wednesday evening.
UNDERAGE
Best of
luck to our Under 12 Boys who commence their programme of games at this time.
St Michael's-St Ronan's are fielding two teams. See the club's social media for
details of upcoming games.
The very
best of luck to Cootehall NS who play Creggs NS in the County Camogie Final on
Wednesday 31st May in Lisnamult.
The very best of luck to Drumboylan NS who play Mount Talbot in their County
Final on Tuesday morning 30th May in Ardcarne Park,
A fabulous achievement for both schools.
Camogie in Cootehall
Boyle
Camogie under 12s will play a challenge match at Ardcarne Park on Thursday June
1st at 7pm. This team has a number of St Michaels players and this
is a fantastic opportunity for them to play a home game.
Condolences
The Club
offer their sincere sympathies to the Oates family, Cootehall on the death of Bernadette
Owens, Ballyfarnon, to the Gilboy family, Ardcarne & Cootehall on the death of John and to
the Beggan family, Cootehall & Knockvicar on the death of Patricia
Beggan, Smutternagh.
May they rest in peace.
