30th April 2023
TANSEY CUP
Best of luck to our adult men, sponsored by Joe
Simon Home, Garden & Hardware, who host Kilglass Gaels in Ardcarne Park on
Bank Holiday Monday, 1st May, with throw-in at 2pm, and play St Dominic's in
Ardcarne Park on Saturday 6th May at 7pm.
UNDERAGE BOYS
The St Michaels/St Ronans under 16 Division 1 boys
made the long journey to Woodmount on Monday last to take on Padraig Pearses.
In a low scoring affair, the sides were level entering the final quarter. A
goal from a counter-attack for the home side proved decisive with our
understrength team eventually losing by 2-8 to 1-5.
The u16 Division 4 team faced Roscommon Gaels in
Lisnamult on Friday evening. The home side led by 1-6 to 8pts at the break and
were 5pts ahead with 15 minutes remaining. Three goals in 90 seconds left the
game on a knife edge and the sides were level with 5 minutes to play. However a
late 1-1 from the hosts secured the points after a competitive contest.
Roscommon Gaels 3-12 St Michael's-St Ronan's 2-11.
The under 14 boys played St Croan's in Enfield
this week and came away with the points after a good run out for all the panel.
This week, the u16 Boys have a Division 1 game at
7.30pm on Bank Holiday Monday against Kilmore-Shannon Gaels in Kilmore, and a
Division 4 game at 12.30pm on Sunday 7th May against Padraig Pearses in
Ardcarne Park. Meanwhile the u14 boys host St Aidan's at 7.30pm on Tuesday 2nd
May in Ballyfarnon. Best of luck to all our teams.
CONNACHT MINOR CHAMPIONSHIP
Congratulations to Ruadhan Henry, Shane O'Dowd and

crucial tie against the home side. Throw-in is at 7pm and we wish them the very
best.
