Junior
Well done to St
Michael’s who beat St Aidans in the Tansey cup 2-5 to 1-6. Scorers: F Henry
0-2, A O Hara 1-0, B O Connor 1-0, S Farrell 0-1, T Regan 0-1, B Reynolds 0-1
St Michael’s
will continue their Tansey Cup campaign versus Kilglass this week, date and
time to be confirmed.
St Michael’s B team play Tulsk B in the league on
Saturday 8th April at 5pm in Cootehall, all support welcomed. B
Last Man Standing
Congratulations and well done to Carmel Gilboy who
won the Last Person Standing competition today and a prize of €1,000.
CHILD SAFEGUARDING COURSE
St Michael's are hosting a Child
Safeguarding course in the club meeting room at Ardcarne Park, Cootehall on
Wednesday 5th April at 7pm. Safeguarding is essential for all our coaches and
anyone involved with our underage groups and must be renewed every three years.
The course is also open to prospective future coaches or volunteers; if
interested, please contact our coaching officer at 086 832 8337.
LGFA
The Junior girls had their final
league game on Sunday away to Four Roads
they were level at half time, however towards the last 20 mins Four Roads lead
increased. Thanks to management and the girls who played.
The under 16 girls had a good win
over St Croans. The older 12 girls had a good win in their grading game against
Shannon Gaels. The younger under 12 are playing Kilglass,/ Kilmore.
UNDERAGE BOYS
Underage football returns with a bang this week as
most of the St Michaels St Ronans boys teams get their 2023 League campaigns
underway. First up on Tuesday, the under 16 boys open their Division 1 season
with a trip to Enfield to take on Oran/St Croan's at 7pm. On Wednesday the
under 14 boys visit Tarmonbarry for a game against Kilglass Gaels/St Barry's at
7pm. The minor boys are also scheduled to play Kilglass Gaels/St Barry's on
Thursday at 7pm in Ardcarne Park but this may be deferred. Good Friday sees the
under 16 Division 4 side host St Faithleach's in Ballyfarnon at 5pm. Best of
luck to all teams and their coaches.
LOTTO
Lotto Draw took place on Sunday April 2nd,
the numbers drawn were 1, 17, 18, 20. There was no lotto winner and no match
three winners.
The winners of the two €50 lucky dip prizes are
Tom & Maura Noone and Kevin Moran & Colette Healy.
The next draw takes place on April 16th
and the jackpot is €6,500.

Niall was the winner of the five
night New York trip and match package for two in the St. Michael's GAA
Super Holiday and Fuel Draw. Niall will be joined by his son, Stephen for
the trip that was jointly sponsored by RosTrim Construction and The Irish Bank
Pub in New York. Niall and Stephen were kitted out in Leitrim gear kindly
sponsored by Mc Kever Sports. Though a "Rossie" Niall will be
shouting for his neighbours. He also made the trip for Leitrim's last visit to
New York in 2018.
