Club Notes

26^th  March 2023

 

 SCÓR NA nÓG

The 2023 county finals of Scór na nÓg took place in Elphin on Saturday last. A large appreciative crowd were treated to an evening of superb talent and entertainment. St Michael's were proudly represented in three events. Our young Ballad Group of Aoibheann Beirne, Niamh Conlisk, Rachel Guckian, Robyn McGarry and Caoimhe McLoughlin performed beautifully in a competition won by Kilmore. Our Table Quiz team of Ruadhan Henry, Cormac Regan, Ronan Guckian and Cormac Lee competed excellently in finishing 3rd of 13 teams. Finally, congratulations to our Instrumental Music group of Caitlin & Eabha Simon, and Brianna, Rachel & Ronan Guckian who were crowned County Champions in their discipline and will now represent Roscommon in the Connacht finals next month.

 

ACADEMY TRAINING

Weather permitting, training for our Academy starlets (boys and girls) at under 6, under 8 and under 10 age groups (i.e. born 2013 to 2018 inclusive) will resume at 6.30pm on Friday 31st March at Ardcarne Park.

 

TANSEY CUP

Best of luck to our adult men's team and management who play  St Aidan's in the next round of the Tansey Cup on Saturday 1st April at home in Ardcarne Park. Throw in is at 5pm and all support is welcome.

 

 

 

 

LGFA

Our under 16 girls game was postponed due to unplayable pitches.

Our 16-play St Croans on Sunday April 2nd at 4pm at home

Our under 12 girls play Northern Harps on Sunday evening April 2^nd in Cootehall

Our adult girls play Four Roads away on Sunday.

All girl players must be registered before the 31st of march. Otherwise, they cannot train are play at LGFA insurance year for 2023 /2024 begins on the 1st April.

St Michaels Membership 2023

The club is setting a deadline of April 1^st by which membership must be paid by (excluding those paying in instalments). Players are not insured to use facilities, train or play in matches if not registered and this will be communicated to all team managers.

All players must register through foireann.ie before taking to the field for the 2023 season.

Those wishing to avail of the club's facilities/gym in a non-playing membership may do so for €60, while there are also membership options available for cultural and social areas such as Scor for €10.

If anyone requires any assistance at this time, please let us know. Enquires will be dealt with in the strictest confidence.

 

Lotto

The lotto draw took place on Sunday 19^th March, the numbers drawn were 3,16,20,27. There was no jackpot winner and three match three winners; JJ & Colette O’Malley, Stephen Carty and Anthony Farry.

 

The next draw takes place on April 2^nd and the jackpot is €6,400 with an additional prize of an Easter Hamper for all Club Members with Annual lotto.

 

 

Sympathy

The Club extend sympathy to the family of Sean Moran, Crossna.
May he rest in peace.
