UNDERAGE
Hard luck to our Under 14 boys who
lost out to a stronger Western Gaels side in the Garda Cup on Wednesday.
Well done to our two under 12 Boys
teams who continued their development with good displays again last week. Both
teams are in action again over the coming days - the Division 6 team playing
Boyle in Ardcarne Park on Monday 26th at 7pm while the Division 3 side play
Oran in Ballyfarnon on Wednesday also at 7pm.
The Keenan Cup commences on Thursday
29th with an Under 13 team playing Tulsk away at 7.30pm.
Best of luck to all our teams.
LGFA
Well done to the u14 girls who
emerged victorious over a gallant St Croan's after an enthralling league
quarter final in Ballyfarnon on Thursday last. Our girls held a 3pt lead at the
interval after an evenly contested first half, 4-3 to 2-6. The visitors
however, dominated proceedings after the break asking serious questions of the
home defence. With five minutes of normal time remaining the girls from Enfield
were in front by 5pts, 4-11 to 5-3, and looking set for the semi-finals. But
for the second week in a row, the Saints came with a late determined rally.
Full-time: St Michael's-St Ronan's 7-6
St Croan's 4-13.
The girls have now qualified for a
league Semi-final against Kilglass-Kilmore which is due to be played on Tuesday
27th at 7pm in Ardcarne Park.
Best of luck to our club
representatives in action with Roscommon underage teams this week: Sophie Daly
and Izabelle Murphy with the u16s on Monday v Sligo in the Connacht B Final,
and Leah McCawley with the minors v Sligo on Wednesday.
