County News

Congratulations to Sean Moran and the Roscommon minor panel and management on a tremendous comeback victory over Galway in the Connacht championship semi final last week. Hopefully they can retain the title when they take on Sligo in Dr Hyde Park on Friday.

 

Best of luck also to Fiachra Henry and the Roscommon under 20s who play Down in the All Ireland semi final on Saturday. It's been a fantastic campaign so far and hopefully they can see it through to its conclusion.

 

Well done to our club representatives on the Roscommon under 14 and 15 development panels who took part in the Connacht blitz tournament at the Centre of Excellence on Saturday. Ruadhan Henry, Barry Monahan, Shane O'Dowd and Daniel Regan played for the u15s while Ronan Guckian, Tommy Lennon, Iollan Morahan and Jeffrey Oates lined out for the u14s.

 

 

Underage Boys

The under 15 boys continued their good run in the Division 2 championship on Tuesday at Ardcarne Park when they overcame a strong Western Gaels challenge. They travel to Ballyforan to take on St Aidan's on Wednesday at 7.30pm. 

 

The under 13 boys had two games in Division 4 this week putting up good performances against St Dominic's on Monday and Padraig Pearses on Sunday. Their next outing is against  Elphin-Ballinameen on Monday 9th August.

 

LGFA

Under 14 girls play Kilmore/ Kilglass in the Divison 4 County Final on Thursday 5th at 7 in Ardcarne Park

 Under 16 girls play Four Roads on Tuesday 10th in the Divison 3 County Final

 Under 19 league  commences on the 16th of August.

The Adult championship commence week of the 29th August

 

Lotto

There was no winner of this weeks lotto draw. The next draw will take place on 8th August and the jackpot is €2,100. There were 5 lucky dips winners (€20 each) Louise Lehany, Helen McHugh, Conor Moffatt, Anne Lenehan and Dermot & Heather Lane.

Condolences

The Club extends its sympathy to the Lane Family, Knockvicar  and the Gillespie family, Cootehall on their recent bereavement.
