Under 16 Boys
Our under 16 boys team
sponsored by Ardcarne Garden Centre hosted St Faithleach's in the championship
shield semi-final on Saturday evening last.
The home side got off to a bright start and had five different players on the scoresheet after 20 minutes in building a 7-2 lead. However, the visitors dominated the remainder of the half and the game was finely-balanced at the break, 8 points to 6.
Our lads regained control when play resumed and steadily increased their lead to the finish. Full-time: St Michael's 2-16 St Faithleach's 0-8.
This was probably the team's most impressive performance of the championship so far and we wish the boys well in the final.
Panel: L Liddy-Hill, S Moran (0-1), N McGlynn, G Moore, J McGarry, R Henry (0-3), C Burke (1-1), G Corcoran (0-4), C Guckian (0-1), J Lane (0-3), B O'Connor, D Bakare, H Bruen (1-2), K Keaveny (0-1), B Monahan, C Regan, D Regan, L Kearns, J McGarry.

Under 12 Boys
The under 12 boys travelled
to Kilbride on Sunday morning for the division 2 semi-final against the home
team. St Michael's were quick out of the blocks and, aided by a strong breeze,
built a commanding lead of 12 points to 5 at half-time. Defences were on top
during the second half with a late surge by Kilbride not enough to catch our
boys. Full-time: St Michael's 0-13 Kilbride 0-12.
This was an exciting contest between two strong skilful sides. We wish the boys and their coaches the best of luck in the final.
Panel: R Guckian, S Fallon, P Morahan, D Lee, A Oates, T Robertson, I Morahan, T Lennon, A McDonagh, J Oates (0-2), B O'Dowd (0-4), C Lee (0-3), B Dowd (0-4), P Walsh, A Moore, A Hanly, M Tansey.
