TANSEY CUP FINAL
Well done to our men's panel and management, sponsored by Joe Simon Home, Garden & Build, who completed their regular Division 3 league campaign with a home victory over Castlerea by 3-15 to 1-4 on Saturday evening last.
Their next outing is the Tansey Cup Final against Strokestown which throws-in at 1pm on Sunday 16th in Ardcarne Park. The lads have performed excellently this year and we hope young and old will turn out in large numbers to support them in their bid for silverware.
UNDERAGE BOYS
Underage football returns with a bang this week as most of our boys teams get their championship campaigns underway. First up on Monday, the under 16 boys play their opening Division 2 game in Knockcroghery against St Dominic's. The quarter-final of the Keenan Cup against St Barry's takes place on Tuesday in Tarmonbarry. On Thursday the under 18 boys host St Faithleach's in Ballyfarnon while on Friday, our Under 16 Division 4 team play Roscommon Gaels, also in Ballyfarnon. All of the above games throw in at 7.30pm. The week concludes with our u14 Division 4 team playing Western Gaels in Ballyfarnon on Sunday morning with the time to be confirmed. Best of luck to all our teams and their coaches.
LGFA
Well done to our Adult Ladies team and management who performed so well in the Northern Harps Club 7s Tournament in Elphin on Saturday. A win over Tír Chonaill Gaels from Glasgow and draws with the hosts and St Mary's Tulsk secured qualification for the Cup semi-final where a strong St Barry's side eventually prevailed after an excellent contest. Thanks and congratulations to Northern Harps on a superb tournament.
GAELIC FOR GIRLS - HAVE A BALL
We had another super session of Gaelic For Girls at Ardcarne Park on Wednesday evening last. Many thanks to our adult and teenage role models whose encouragement and example is inspiring the young girls.
Gaelic For Girls will continue next Wednesday 12th July, same time (6.30pm), same place.
DADS & LADS
Football for Dads & Lads will make its return at 9pm on Wednesday next (12th) in Ardcarne Park. The purpose of the initiative is to give people of all ages a chance to get out and enjoy playing gaelic football in a non-competitive environment. A good time is guaranteed and everyone is welcome!
Foundation Football Coaching Course
Sat 15th July
An Introduction to Coaching course will take place in Elphin on Saturday 15th July. St Michael's invites members/parents/guardians (male and female), who are interested in assisting with coaching in the future, to attend this course.
As a club that relies on volunteers, we need to have lots of people with this qualification to ensure that training sessions and games can be provided for our children.
Please contact the Club Coaching Officer at 086 832 8337 to register and/or learn more.
Closing date for registration is Monday 10th July.
The Hatch
The Hatch shop will be opening soon at Ardcarne Park!
Sympathy
The Club extends it sympathies to the Curry & Sheerin family on the death of Peter Curry Snr, Newtownbutler. May he rest in peace.
