St Michael's U21 Team were defeated Kilglass Gaels in the Semi Final of the Roscommon U21 Div 3 Championship on Saturday last, the 2nd of November 2013 at Ardcarne Park in very difficult weather conditions on a Final Score of St Michael's 0-03 Kilglass Gaels 0-07. This bring all adult football to an end for 2013. The Club would like to thank all the Players and Management Team for their efforts through out the year.
The Lotto draw was held in The Mooring's Bar, Knockvicar on Sunday last, the 3rd of November 2013 for a Jackpot of € 8,300.00. The numbers drawn were 1, 4, 9, 22. There was no Jackpot Winner, No Match 3 Winner, Five €20.00 winners were ; Robert Doyle, Crossna, Dermot and Ann Cox, Cootehall, Elish Beirne, Battlebridge, Emer Beirne, Knockvicar and Anthony Dowd, Cootehall. The next draw is in Beirnes of Battlebridge on Sunday, the 17th of November 2013 for a Jackpot of € 8,400.00.
St Michael's GAA Club Annual Monster Fuel Draw for 2013 is now in it last week. The draw this year again is bigger and is offering Great Prizes to be won, total value estimated at €2,000.00. First Prize is a Large Tractor Trailer Load of Quality Firewood, Firewood donated by Joe Tansey of Greenbelt. Second Prize is 500 Liters of Home Heating Oil, sponsored by Stewarts Oil, Boyle. Third Prize is 80 Bales of Peat Briquettes sponsored by Bord na Mona. Fourth Prize is 500kg of Coal, sponsored by Arigna Fuels, Arigna. Fifth Prize is a Boiler Service, sponsored by Shane Malone, Ballyfermoyle. The Tractor Trailer Load of Quality Firewood was prepared voluntarily by our members with equipment assistance from East Bros, Boyle. The Club would like to thank all sponsors. The Draw takes place on Saturday next, the 9th of November 2013 in Beirnes of Battlebridge. Draw entry is One Line for €2 or Three Lines for €5 or Eight Line for €10 and can be purchased from outlets through out the Club Area or any Club member. The processes of this Draw is going to the day to day running of the Club and this is the Club last fund raiser of the year. Please support.
The Quarter Finals of Scór na Óg will take place on the 15th and 16th of November 2013 in Dangan Community Centre, Kilmore and Kilmurry Hall, Tulsk. Anyone who wishes to enter in anyone of the events list below can contact any Club Officer. The events for participating in Scór na Óg are; figure dancing, set dancing, solo singing, instrumental music, ballad group and recitation.
In the U11 Keenan Cup, St Michael's defeated Shannon Gaels in Croghan on Sunday last, the 3rd of November 2013. Check fixtures for details for the next round.
The St Michael's GAA Club's AGM is fixed for Sunday, the 24th of November 2013 at Ardcarne Park Sports Complex.
