Weekly Update

It was with great sadness this week in our Club on hearing of the death of Maureen Moran (RIP), Crossna. Maureen was involved in everything that was community and our GAA Club was not forgotten. Whether it was attending matches, Club functions, or fundraising, Maureen and her family were involved. The Club would like to extend its condolences to her husband Paddy, daughters Caroline, Ursula and Angela, sons Tómas and Padraig, and to the extended Family and Relatives and her many friends. May she rest in peace. The Club would also like to extend its condolences to the Family and Relatives of the late Noel Martin (RIP), Limerick and formerly of our Parish. The U21 Championship game on Sunday last, the 20th of October 2013, where St Michael's were to play Kilbride in Rocommon Div 3 U21 Championship was cancelled as a mark of respect to the late Maureen Moran (RIP) and is now fixed for Saturday next, the 26th of October 2013 at the Kilbride GAA Grounds at 7.30pm. The Lotto draw was held in The Watersplash Bar, Cootehall on Sunday last, the 20th of October 2013 for a Jackpot of € 8,200.00. The numbers drawn were 3, 4, 19, 27. There was no Jackpot Winner, One Match 3 Winner, € 100.00; Aidan and Chris Malone, Ballyfermoyle. The next draw is in The Mooring's Bar, Knockvicar on Sunday, the 3rd of November 2013 for a Jackpot of € 8,300.00. St Michael's GAA Club Annual Monster Fuel Draw for 2013 is now in full swing. The draw this year again is bigger with great prizesm to be won, total prize value of €2,000.00. First Prize is a large trailer Load of quality firewood, which was sponsored by Joe Tansey of Greenbelt. Second Prize is 500 Liters of Home Heating Oil, sponsored by Stewarts Oil, Boyle. Third Prize is 80 Bales of Peat Briquettes sponsored by Bord na Mona. Fourth Prize is 500kg of Coal, sponsored by Arigna Fuels, Arigna. Fifth Prize is a Boiler Service, sponsored by Shane Malone, Ballyfermoyle. The Tractor Trailer Load of Quality Firewood was prepared voluntarily by our members with equipment assistance from East Bros, Boyle. The Club would like to thank all sponsors. The Draw takes place on Saturday, the 9th of November 2013 in Beirnes of Battlebridge. Draw entry is One Line for €2 or Three Lines for €5 or Eight Line for €10 and can be purchased from outlets through out the Club Area or any Club member. The processes of this Draw is going to the day to day running of the Club and this is the Club last fund raiser of the year. Please support. The Quarter Finals of Scór na Óg will take place on the 15th and 16th of November 2013 in Dangan Community Centre, Kilmore and Kilmurry Hall, Tulsk. Anyone who wishes to enter in anyone of the events list below can contact any Club Officer. The events for participating in Scór na Óg are; figure dancing, set dancing, solo singing, instrumental music, ballad group and recitation. In the U12 summer League, The Red Team have matches outstanding. Check fixtures for details of these games. Training for U21, U12 Boys and U12 and U14 Girls during the week. Coaches will notify. The U11 Keenan Cup and Shane Beirne Shield competitions are still to be played. It hoped these Competitions will started in the next week or Two.
