Weekly Update

In the U12 Spring League on Sunday last, the 2nd of June 2013, Both Teams were again in action, The Green Team defeated Kilbride at Ardcarne Park, while the Red Team were defeated by Kilmore. Next Sunday, the 9th of June 2013, The Green Team play against St Aidan's in the round 3 of the U12 Spring League at Ballyforan at 12.00pm. The Red Team have no game this weekend.

On Sunday last, the 2nd of June 2013, the St Michael's Junior Team suffered a heavy  defeat to a strong Ballinameen side in the First Round of the Roscommon Junior 'A' Championship at Davonna Park, Ballinameen. St Michael's held their own for about eighteen minutes of the first half, but when Ballinameen scored two goals in this period, the St Michael's heads dropped. Leaving the half time score Ballinameen 3-08 St Michael's 0-01. The second half did not improve much for St Michael's, with Ballinameen running out easy winners. Final Score Ballinameen 5-15  St Michael's 0-04.

The St Michael's Intermediate Team play against Castlerea St Kevin's in the O Gara Cup League on Saturday next, the 8th of June 2013 at Ardcarne Park at 8.00pm.

The U14 Boys Team were defeated narrowly against St Croan's in the U14 Div 3 League on Thursday last, the 30th of May 2013 at Ardcarne Park.They play Kilbride in the U14 Div 3 League on Tuesday next, the 4th of June 2013 at Ardcarne Park at 7.30pm.

The U12 Girls Team were defeated by St Ciaran's in Mulheron Park, Fuerty on Wednesday last, the 29th of May 2013. They play against Oran on Friday next, the 7th of June 2013 at Ardcarne Park at 7.30pm in the U12 Div 3 Sheild Semi Final.

The First Round of the U10 Go Games Blitz took place in Ballinameen, on Monday last, the 3rd of June 2013. We played games against Western Gaels/Ballinameen, Eire Og and Boyle.  

The Second Round of the U8 Go Games Blitz takes place on Saturday next, the 8th of June 2013 at Ardcarne Park between 11.00am and 1.00pm.

Training for U6s, U8s and U10s on Friday next, the 7th of June 2013 at Ardcarne Park from 6.30pm to 8.00pm.

Training for U12 Boys on Thursday next, the 6th of June 2013 at Ardcarne Park at 7.00pm.

Training for U12 and U14 Girls on Monday next, the 10th of June 2013 at Ardcarne Park at 6.30pm.

The Lotto draw was held in Beirnes of Battlebridge on Sunday last, the 2nd of June 2013, for a jackpot of € 7,200.00. The numbers drawn were 6, 9, 16, 24. There was no Jackpot Winner, Five match 3 winners, €20 each; Shay Morahan, Cortober X2, Donimick Nicholson, Corrigeenroe, Thomas Morahan, Clooncloose and Mary Mc Cool, Rockingham. The next draw is in Henry's Bar,Cootehall on Sunday, the 16th of June 2013, for a jackpot of € 7,300.00. 

Tickets for the 2013 County Board Members Draw are now available from the Club at €100. By supporting this draw you are supporting you Club and County. The draw is on the 15th of June 2013. Shares can be taken in these tickets and there are 20 Prizes in the Draw, with the first prize of € 35,000.00, if interested please contact the Club.

Congratulations to Club Footballer Stephen Mc Guinness, who is got married to Edel Feehily on Friday last, the 31st of May 2013 in Carnasca Church, Strokestown.

The Club would like to extends its condolences to the Oates Family, Cootehall on the death of the late Andrew Oates (RIP), Cootehall. Andy as he was known locally was a keen St Michael's Supporter and was interested in all levels of the Club's activities on and off the field, along side his wife Kathleen and Sons Michael, Ciaran, Joseph and Andrew and also to the Mc Gonigle Family and Clancy Family, Knockvicar on the death of the late Mary Jo Daly (RIP), Ballintubber, Aunt of Ann and Francis and also to the Conlon,O Hara and Regan Families on the death of the late Jackie Feehily (RIP), Drumlion.
