Club Notes July 5th 2020
Thank you!
A big thanks to all our club members and
friends who helped out at the drainage and development works on our grounds.
Over 40 volunteers gave generously of their time over a three-week period.
Thanks also to those who assisted at the grass cutting and clean up. The club
is very grateful to all.
Minor Club
We welcomed the safe return to activity of
our underage players from u8 to u18 last week. It was fantastic to see the
hugely positive response of all our coaches, our players and their parents and
guardians to the GAA's return to play protocols. The enthusiasm shown by all
participants was heart-warming and this was nowhere more evident than when our
u8 and u10 Academy players returned to action on the green in Cootehall on
Friday evening. The village echoed to the cheerful sound of children having a
ball with a ball. The club extends their appreciation to the residents’
committee for the use of the green.
The Junior Ladies enjoyed a challenges
with St Michaels, Ballygawley/Ballintogher on Sunday. It was great to see them
back out on the field!
Registration fees are now due for all LGFA
members.

Sympathies
Sympathy to the family of Tony Mc Govern,
RIP, Boyle on their recent bereavement. Tony was much associated with our club
in the early 1990s when he was the main contractor who developed our grounds at
Ardcarne Park.
