Minor
The Ardcarne Garden centre
sponsored St Michaels Minor lads travelled to Frenchpark to play Western Gaels
in the Division 3 championship semi final on Sunday last. This was a very
competitive and entertaining game between two evenly matched teams. The home
side got off to a good start and went in ahead at half time leading 1-10 to
0-7. St Michaels played much better football in the second half and pulled the
lead back to a point by taking some great scores. With time almost up, Western
Gaels then broke up the field and and scored a goal and the game finished on a
scoreline of St Michaels 0-15 Western Gaels 2-13.
Panel M Reynolds, B ODowd, S Moran, A OConnor, G Corcoran, F Henry (0-8), A Tiernan (0-2), M Heslin, R Gillespie, A Chilton (0-2), N Sheerin (0-2) J Doherty OBrien, S Burke, L Kearns, D McGlynn, J Lane (0-1), K Keaveny, B O Connor, G Moore, C Guckian.
A huge thanks to a great Minor squad for their hard work and dedication during the year. They reached both League and Championship semi finals and also had some very notable victories along the way. Thanks also to the parents and families for their support.

Our U14's put in a strong performance in their Championship
game against St Croans Friday evening bringing the game to within two points
but fell short in the end.
They play Tulsk next, date and time to be confirmed. Thanks
to our panel and their parents for their ongoing support.
Under 12
Our U.12 Division 5 team
completed the group stages of the Summer League with a good win over Western
Gaels on Sunday last. Earlier in the week, the team put in a very spirited
display in defeat to a strong Boyle team. Well done to all the players who
continue to improve and to Boyle and Western Gaels who contributed to very
sporting games. We will likely have some games this weekend in either Division
2 or Division 5 in the knockout stages of the competitions.
