Club Notes 04/008/19

Under 16

The under 16s had their 2nd outing of the championship when they welcomed Castlerea to sunny Ardcarne Park on Thursday last. With a number of players on holidays, a young panel took some time to settle and trailed by 4pts at half time. The lads gave their all in the 2nd half but needed better luck in front of goal to overturn the deficit. However, there were many excellent performances, especially from the younger boys, and lots to build on for the later rounds. Full-time score: St Michael's 2-8 Castlerea 2-13. U16 Team: L Liddy Hill, N McGlynn, S Moran, C Guckian, C Burke, G Moore, G Corcoran, L Kearns, R Henry, B O'Connor, H Bruen, D Bakare, C Regan, B Monahan, D Regan.

Minor Meeting

Minor meeting on Wednesday7th August in the complex at 8:30. All welcome.

Under 14

St Michaels u14 boys play their next championship game against Oran in Rockfield on Friday 9th.

Minor

The Ardcarne Garden Centre sponsored St Michaels Minor lads play Kilbride away on Thursday 8th and are at home to Western Gaels on Monday 12th.

All support appreciated.

Ladies/Girls

Under 14-  The combined under 14 girls play St Barrys on Monday at 7pm in Ardcarne park.

Minor -  The combined Minor girls play Michael Glaveys on Thursday the 8th at 8pm  at home.  

Under 16 -The combined under 16 girls play St Marys away on Tuesday the 13th away.  

Under 12 - The combined  under 12  team hosted a blitz on Wednesday last in Cootehall.  Teams from Boyle, Shannon Gaels and Elphin/Kilmore travelled thanks to all parents who helped out and referees Aidan Main and Miryam Daly. 

Junior- The Junior girls play Kilbride on Saturday evening at home.    

Roscommon Ladies- Well done to Roscommon ladies intermediate team who qualified for the All Ireland Semi Final by beating Kildare they now play the winners of  Wexford or Meath on the 17th August especially congratulations to Sorcha Bruen and Katie Daly.

Roscommon Minor-  Hard luck to Roscommon Minor team who were narrowly beaten by Longford in the All Ireland B Final.

Club Rossie
