Weekly Update

The annual Monster Fuel draw takes place in the Bogside on Sunday night next 23rd November come along and join us on Sunday night. There are great prizes this year so buy your tickets/lines, if you're not in you cant win !! First prize is the bumper tractor-trailer load of firewood sponsored by Joe Tansey, Greenbelt. Second prize is one tonne (160 bales) of Bord na Mona peat briquettes sponsored by Hunters Coal, Sligo. Third prize is 500 litres of home heating oil sponsored by Stewarts Oil, Boyle. Fourth prize is a tractor-trailer load of turf sponsored by Paul Wynne Agri. Contractor, Drumshambo. Fifth is 500 kgs. of Cosy Glow and Eco Bright coal, sponsored by Arigna Fuels. Sixth is a car trailer load of turf sponsored by Paul Wynne. Seventh is a boiler service sponsored by Shane Malone, (MBS) and eighth is a tonne of kindlers sponsored by Matthew Gargan Firewood, Ballinamore. Six toy tractors from the renowned Bruder range will be on offer as seller’s prizes.

The Club A.G.M. takes place on 30th November.

The U.17 area combination of St. Michael's, St. Ronans and Boyle were narrowly beaten by Strokestown /St. Barrys/Kilglass in a close game on Wednesday night. The U.15's were beaten by the same opposition on Sunday in Ballyfarnon. The U.17's play Shannon Gaels/Elphin/Kilmore on Sunday next.

The under 15 combination of St. Michaels, St. Ronans and Boyle were well beaten by Strokestown, Kilglass/Barrys at Ballyfarnon last Sunday. Team picture below.


In Scor na nOg the Club were represented in the instrumental group competition by Laura & Noelle Martin, Niamh Clancy, Fiachra Henry and Lorcan Regan. The quiz team to represent the Club on next Friday in Knockcroghery is Miriam Daly, Katie Corcoran and Amy Tiernan, all results from both nights will be known on Friday night.

Ardcarne Community Games are holding their AGM on Wednesday night in the Club rooms at 9pm sharp. Please make every effort to attend and encourage new members to come along.

The Club extends its sympathy to the family of Michael Wrynn, Arigna may he rest in peace.

Congratulations to Darragh & Karen Cox on the birth of their baby girl.

Congratulations to St. Croan's on winning the Connacht Intermediate Final and also to St. Ciaran's Ladies on winning the All- Ireland Junior A semi-final on Sunday last , best of luck to them in the Final.
