Weekly Update

The Intermediate Team were beaten by a stronger Oran side on Sunday last in the last round of the Championship,  the club wishes Sean Farrell a speedy recovery from the injury he sustained in the game.
The U.12's had an enjoyable day out on Saturday last in Clonguish,  Longford at the Shane Beirne memorial tournament. They reached the semifinal losing to Northern Gaels, an amalgamation  from Longford on a scoreline of 4 03 to 2 05.  Thanks to all the players and parents who made the trip and to Clonguish GAA for hosting the tournament.
The U.21's got a walkover from Ballinameen this weekend in the first round of the Championship.
St. Michael’s G.A.A. club have launched their annual Super Fuel Draw which will be the fourth successive year of the draw. The organising committee announce that this year’s draw has even bigger and better prizes than previous years, with eight excellent prizes on offer. First prize will be the bumper tractor-trailer load of firewood sponsored by Joe Tansey, Greenbelt. Second prize will be one tonne (160 bales) of Bord na Mona peat briquettes sponsored by Hunters Coal, Sligo. Third prize will be 500 litres of home heating oil sponsored by Stewarts Oil, Boyle. Fourth prize will be a tractor-trailer load of turf sponsored by Paul Wynne Agri. Contractor, Drumshambo.  Fifth will be 500 kgs. of Cosy Glow and Eco Bright coal, sponsored by Arigna Fuels. Sixth will be a car trailer load of turf sponsored by Paul Wynne. Seventh will be a boiler service sponsored by Shane Malone, (MBS) and eighth will be one tonne of kindlers sponsored by Matthew Gargan Firewood, Ballinamore. Six toy tractors from the renowned Bruder range will be on offer as seller’s prizes. The draw will take place on 23rd November in the Bogside.
Ticket selling for the draw is in full swing at the minute and tickets are available at all local shops, pubs through any club officers or members. ​
