Weekly Update

Pride of place this week goes to all our Sinsear Scór participants, who represented their Club well in their chosen events at the Scór Sinsear County Finals in Elphin Community and Sports Centre on Friday night last, the 29th of March 2013. Congratulations to Elsa Lubbers on winning the Solo Singing County Title and to the Instrumental Music Group of ; Seamus Sweeney, Liam Purcell, John and Shane Meehan and Colin Beggan on winning the Instrumental Music County Title. Well done also to the Ballad Group of; Ann Marie Harte, Mary Lee, Michael Duignan, Colin Beggan and Elsa Lubbers and to the Quiz Team of Conor Mc Loughlin, Barry Mc Gonigle and Aidan Regan, who represent the Club well in their events. The Club would like to wish the winners all the best in the Connacht Sinsear Scór Finals on Saturday next, the 6th of April 2013 in St Mary's Hall, Carrick on Shannon. The Club would also like to thank Patrica Molloy and her team of helpers in this success for the Club.The future of our Irish Culture in the Parish is secure with such lively talent, commitment and participation. Once again, A big thank you to all involved in a great success.

At an enjoyable Club's Catchment Area Social Night Out on Sunday night last, the 31st of March 2013 at Kilronan Castle Hotel, The Club launch it's Club's Strategic Plan 2013-2017. The launch was officiated by Sean Martin, Roscommon County Board Connacht Council Delagate. The following awards were also presented on the night, Senior Player of the Year 2012; Michael King , Junior Player of the Year 2012; Fintan Killalea, Club Person of the Year 2012; Padraig Mc Shera and Parish Group of the Year 2012; Ardcarne Community Games.

The Intermediate Team drew their game away against Clan na nGael in the O Gara Cup League, on Friday night last, the 29th of March 2013 in Johnstown.

The Junior Team played against Boyle in the Div 4 League, Group B, on Monday last, the 1st of April 2013 at Abbey Park, Boyle. More details next week.

The U18 Team play Michael Glavey's in the U18 Div 3 League on Tuesday next, the 2nd of April 2013 at Ardcarne Park at 6.00pm and Kilbride in the U18 Div 3 league on Sunday next, the 7th of April 2013 at Kilbride at 11.00am at Kilbride.

Training continues for Minor and U16s players during the week.

Training for U6s and U8s on Friday next, the 5th of April 2013 at Ardcarne Park from 6.30pm to 8.00pm.

Training for U12 Boys on Thursday next, the 4th of April 2013 at Ardcarne Park at 7.00pm.

Training for U12 and U14 Girls on Monday next, the 8th of April 2013 at Ardcarne Park at 6.30pm.

Good luck to the Roscommon U21 Team, who play against Galway in the Connacht U21 final on Saturday next, the 6th of April 2013 at Dr Hyde Park, Roscommon at 6.00pm.

The Club extends its condolences to the Bambrick Family, Rockingham on the death of Margaret Bambrick (RIP), Rockingham and to the Reilly Family, Farrangalliagh East on the death of Kieran May (RIP), Dublin, and to the Oats Family, Cooladye on the death of Mary Molloy (RIP), Cuiltyconeen, Carrick on Shannon.
