On Friday last, the 30th of November 2012, The St Michael's Minor Board Annual General Meeting was held in
the Ardcarne Park Sports Complex. Outgoing Chairman Michael Henry gave a comprehensive detailed
report, and especially paying tribute to the Ladies Footballers, which was going from strength to strength.
He also expressed gratitude to fellow Officers, especially the Secretary, Jenny Bruen,Sinsear Board, Coaches,
Players, Parents and Supporters. Outgoing Secretary Jenny Bruen also gave her report, especially paying tribute
to all involved in the Club's Blog Page and the Scór Committee and to Ciara Dowd on her good win for the Club.
She also expressed gratitude to the Chairman Michael Henry and to his predecessor Martin Conlon. Highlights
for the Minor Board in 2012 were the Club's Cúl Camp, winning the U11 Shane Beirne Shield and the
build up to the Roscommon Intermediate Final. Ciara Dowd addressed the meeting and explained how her
essay was chosen as one of the winners of 'Name your Hero' competition with Bank of Ireland. With this win,
her Local Club St Michael's receives € 2,000.00 and a visit from Kilkenny Hurling Star, Henry Shefflin to
St Michael's in the near fu ture. Once again, the Minor Board would like to congratulate Ciara on this great win.

At a well attended Annual General Meeting on Sunday last, Chairman Dermot Cox gave a detailed report of the clubs activities throughout the year. He paid tribute to outgoing Minor Board Chairman and Secretary their
work done within the Club over the past years. He also expressed gratitude to all Members, Committees,

Sponsors and Supporters for their support during the year. He also announced that the Club has been
successful in receiving an allocation of €70,000.00 in grant aid from the Sports Capital Program 2012.

This was widely welcomed by all at the meeting. Outgoing Secretary Nuala O Hara also gave a report,
especially paying tribute to the great fund raising the Club had achieved in 2012 once again. She also paid
tribute to the Ladies Football Committee, the Scór Committee and to also involved in any way, in an enjoyable
Club Function in Kilronan Castle Hotel last May. Outgoing Treasurer Eddie Heslin presented the financial report
which showed the Club in a health financial position for 2013. The Club officers elected for 2013 are as follows;

Jenny Bruen, Cultural Officers: Mary Regan, Aileen Daly and Eithne Henry, Children's Officer; Mary Kearns,
Patron: Fr Brian Conlon, Delegates to County Board: Dermot Cox, Jim Donnellan, Frankie Mc Kiernan and
Eddie Heslin, Northern Board Delegates: Frankie McKiernan and Francis Dowd. The meeting was also
informed that the Intermediate, Junior and U21 Teams Management were stepping down.
An understrength St Michael's Minor Team were defeated by St Barry's
in the Div 3 League Semi Final on Sunday last at Ardcarne Park. The Club would like to thank all the players,

Training for U6s and U8s on Friday next, the 07th of December 2012 at Ardcarne Park from 7.00pm to 7.45pm.
The Lotto draw is in the Bogside Inn, Derreenadooey on Sunday next, the 09th of December 2012, for a
jackpot of €6,000.00.
Good Luck to our Music Group of Fiachra Henry, Niamh Clancy, Noelle Martin, Diarmuid Regan and
Lorcan Regan, who represent the Club in the Scór na Óg County Final in the Dean Crowe Theatre in
Athlone on Sunday next, the 9th of December 2012 at 1.30pm.
The Club extends its condolences to the Family and Relatives of the late John Dempsey (RIP), Keadue .
The St Michael's GAA Club would like to thank all those, who helped in any way in securing an allocation
of €70,000.00 in grant aid from the Sport Capital Program 2012. The Club hopes with this funding and our
own funds, that development work will get started in the new year and that existing facilities can also be
