Weekly Update

The St Michael's U12 Team were the only team in action over the weekend, taking part in the Clonguish GAA Tournament on Saturday last, the 17th of November 2012 in Clonguish, Co Longford. They finished their season by been narrowly defeated by Annaduff in the Shane Brennan Shield Final. They also had games against Clonguish, Fenagh St. Caillin's and Bornacoola in the Tournament. Once again a big thank you to Clonguish GAA Club on a well run Tournament, The Team Management wish to thank all the kids and especially their Parents for their support throughout the year. The Club also would like to thank the players, coaches and Parents for their effort in representing the club well during the year.
Training for U6s and U8s on Friday next, the 23rd of November 2012 at Ardcarne Park from 7.00pm to 7.45pm.
The Club is holding an open workshop meeting on developing a five year plan for the Club going forward, at Ardcarne Park Sports Complex on Saturday next, the 24th of November 2012 at 8.00pm for two hours only, on the future direction and plans for the Club. This will be an open meeting and everyone in the Club's catchment area is welcome. Areas for discussion are; Game Development and Coaching, Communication, PR and Culture, Facilities and Development, Administration and Structures, Finance and Fundraising. Anyone interested and feel they may have something to offer on the issues list or other issues, are welcome, this is important in the future running of the Club. Once again all are welcome to have their say in the running of their local GAA Club for the future.
The St Michael's GAA Club AGM is fixed for Sunday, the 02nd of December 2012 at Ardcarne Park Sports Complex at 2.30pm.
The St Michael's GAA Minor Club AGM is fixed for Friday, the 30th of November 2012 at Ardcarne Park Sports Complex at 8.00pm.
The Lotto draw is in Beirnes of Battlebridge on Sunday next, the 25th of November 2012, for a jackpot of €5,900.00.
Good Luck to our Music Group, our Novelty Act and our Quiz Team, who are representing the Club in the Scór na Óg semi finals on Friday next, the 23rd of November 2012 in St John's Community Centre, Lecarrow.
Final day for the Clothes Collection for the St Michael's Ladies GAA Club is Saturday next, the 24th November 2012. Clothes will be collected at Joe Bruen's unit in Cootehall between 10.30 am and 11.30 am that morning or drop them to Jenny at 087 6811655 or Aileen at 087 9733645.
The St Michael's GAA Club Mass for deceased Club members is on Saturday next, the 24th of November 2012 in Drumboylan Church at 6.30pm.
Good Luck to St Brigid's in the Connacht Club Final in Mc Hale Park, Castlebar on Sunday next, the 18th of November 2012 against Ballaghaderreen at 2.00pm.
Congratulations to Sorcha Bruen, Ciara Dowd, Katie Daly and Catherine Flynn, who were part of the Shannon Gaels Minor Ladies Team who defeated Kilglass Gaels in the Roscommon County Minor Ladies Div 2 'A' Final in Ballyfarnon on Saturday last, the 17th of November 2012.
Congratulations to Ciara Dowd, who essay was chosen as one of the winners of 'Name your Hero' competition with Bank of Ireland. Ciara wins € 2,000.00 for her Local Club, St Michael's and a visit from Kilkenny Hurling Star, Henry Shefflin to St Michaels. Once again well done Ciara.
