Weekly Update

With less than a week to go to the Roscommon Intermediate Championship Final for 2012, it is great to see the Club colours through out the Club area flying high and proud. The Club would like to thank all involved in any way with the great display of colour and support for the team. All roads lead to the 2012 Roscommon Intermediate Championship Final, St Michael's against St Aidan's on Sunday next, the 21st of October 2012 at the new GAA Grounds, Strokestown, with a 3.30pm thrown in time. The Club would again ask all supporters to get behind the Team and travel.

The U11 Team play St Croan's in the Shane Beirne Shield Final on Thursday next, the 18th of October 2012 at Tulsk at 6.00pm. Please support the future stars of the Club.

The Junior Team game against Tulsk in the Quater Finals of the Div 4 League is fixed for the weekend of 27/28 of October 2012 in Tulsk. 

The First Round of the U21 Div 3 Championship is fixed for Sunday, the 28th of October 2012 against Ballinameen in Ardcarne Park at 12.00pm.  

St Michael's GAA Club Annual Monster Fuel Draw is now in full swing. The Draw has Five Great Prizes to be won, total value estimated at €2,000.00. First Prize is a Large Tractor Trailer Load of Quality Firewood, Firewood donated by Joe Tansey of Greenbelt. Second Prize is 500 Liters of Home Heating Oil, sponsored by Stewarts Oil, Boyle. Third Prize is 1000kg of Coal, sponsored by Arigna Fuels, Arigna. Fourth Prize is a Boiler Service, sponsored by Shane Malone, Ballyfermoyle. Fifth Prize, Voucher for O' Dowd's Fireplaces, Carrick-on-Shannon. The Tractor Trailer Load of Quality Firewood was prepared voluntarily by our members with equipment assistance from East Bros, Boyle. The Club would like to thank all sponsors of the Draw. The Draw takes place on Sunday, the 28th of October 2012 in The Moorings Bar, Knockvicar. Draw entry is One Line for €2 or Three Lines for €5 and can be purchased from outlets through out the Club Area or any Club member. The proceeds of this Draw is going to the day to day running of the Club. Please support.

Well done to all our young members, who represented their National Schools in Scór na bPáistí last weekend.Congratulations to all those that won medals at the event. 

Congratulations to Intermediate team selector Pat Simon and Lynn on their new arrival, a baby girl in the past few weeks.

Congratulations to our neighbours, Leitrim Gaels on winning their first County Leitrim Junior 'A' Football Championship on Sunday last.
