Weekly Update

The Intermediate team's final O Gara Cup League game of 2012 against Eire is now fixed for Saturday next, the 8th of September 2012 in Ardcarne Park at 6.30pm. The Intermediate Team drew Clan na nGael again in the Quarter Finals of the Intermediate Championship, which will take place in two weeks.

The U18 Team received a walkover from St Ronan's in the First Round of the Div 3 U18 Championship. They play Shannon Gaels in the Quarter Finals of the Div 3 U18 Championship on Saturday next, the 8th of September 2012 in Ballyfarnon at 6.00pm. 

The U12 Team defeated Ballinameen in the Div 4 Summer League on Sunday last, the 2nd of September 2012 in Ardcarne Park. They play St Croan's on Saturday next, the 8th of September 2012 in Enfield at 6.30pm. 

The U11 Team play Castlerea St Kevin's in the First Round of the Keenan Cup on Tuesday next, the 4th of September 2012 at O Rourke Park, Castlerea at 7.00pm.

The U8 Team take part in the County Go Game Blitz in Kilbride on Saturday,the 15th of September 2012. More details next week.

Training continues for Intermediate, Junior, U21, Minors, U14s and U12 Boys during the week. Training for U10s, U8s and U6s on Friday next, the 7th of September 2012 at 7.00pm.

The Lotto draw was held in Donnellan's Bar, Cleen, Knockvicar, on Sunday last, the 2nd of September 2012, for a jackpot of €5,300.00. The numbers drawn were 5, 14, 18, 28. There was no winner, one match 3 winner, €100; Noel Kelly, Ardcarne. The next draw is in The Bogside Inn, Derrynadooey, on Sunday, the 16th of September 2012, for a jackpot of €5,400.00.

Congratulations to Club Player Paul Simon and Tracey on their new arrival, a baby boy a few weeks ago and also to Niall and Elane Fallon on their new arrival, a baby boy also and to all other couples in the area on their arrivals in the past few weeks.

The Club extends its condolences to the Lynch Family, Knockvicar on the death of Babs Lynch (RIP), Knockvicar and to the Bruen Family, Knockvicar and Cootehall on the death of Sr. Patrick (Caitlin) Bruen (RIP), Carrolton, Ohio and to Fr Brian Conlon, Cootehall on the death of his Aunt, Neil Tierney (RIP), Dublin.
