St Micahels Notes
13th November 2022
ROSCOMMON DIVISIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP FINAL
St Michael's had six representatives on the North Roscommon Divisional team that played West Roscommon in a very entertaining contest in the Connacht Air Dome on Saturday night, losing out on a 2-15 to 2-11 scoreline. The initiative was appreciated and enjoyed by players, officials and spectators and will hopefully be continued in 2023.
GARDA CUP
Our Under 15 boys returned to the playing fields after a two month break on Sunday when they visited Castlerea in the quarter final of the Garda Cup. The lads held a deserved 4 point lead at half-time but two goals in a minute during the 3rd quarter swung the momentum decisively in the home side's favour and they ran out comfortable winners in the end. Well done to the players and management on their commitment and dedication during a long and busy year.
ADULT TEAM MANAGEMENT
The club wishes to thank Paul Simon and his selectors who are stepping down after three years of dedicated service. Expressions of interest are now sought for the role of Junior Team Manager for 2023. Applications should be submitted to the club Secretary (secretary.stmichaels.roscommon@gaa.ie) by Sunday 20th November.
