Club Notes 29/04/2018


Our Junior A team was beaten by Kilglass in the first round of the championship, We now turn our attention to our game against Clann na Gael next Sunday in Strokestown. Thanks as always for the support.
Our under 12 girls beat Boyle in the Northern league on Monday last at home
They were beaten by a much stronger St Barry on Sunday away. 
The play Kilbride on Tuesday 8th at home at 7pm.

Under 14 girls played a successful challenge game against St Mary’s, Carrick in Carrick on Shannon last FridayThey play their first  league game away to Ballinameen on Wednesday the 2nd.

Our U16 Girls team are due to play their final against Oran at 7 o clock,  Bank Holiday Monday the 7th of May in Tarmonbarry. Please come and show support to this super bunch of girls.

Lotto draw held in Clancy’s on the 22/4/18. Two people matched 3 numbers, Chris Malone & Elaine Wilson. ..Next draw takes place in Beirnes of Battlebridge on the 6th of May for jackpot of €3300. Please continue to support.

Our two u12 teams were in action again last week. The Division 3 u12 team hosted St Ciaran’s on Thursday last. The team got off to a good start and in displaying great teamwork went on to win on a score line of St Michaels 0-21 St Ciaran’s 0-6. Their next game is away to St Faithleachs on Tuesday 8th May. Our Division 5 u12 team played our neighbours Boyle on Saturday last in Boyle. Losing by 3 pts, at the break, our lads battled to the end, getting some great scores but lost out on a final score of St Michaels 0-8 Boyle 0-12. Hard luck to all involved. Thank you to Kilmore for hosting a blitz on Friday evening for our u8’s and u10’s, some very promising football was played and a very enjoyable evening was had by all.

Well done to Brian O Dowd, Jim Harte and Andrew Tiernan who played for Roscommon u16s against Dublin on Sunday last.
