Update 28/8/16

It proved to be a successful week on the playing field for our teams with the most important win coming from the Intermediates when they beat Clann na Gael at Enfield on Saturday evening in the fourth round of the championship, however both teams must meet again in a relegation playoff in a couple of weeks.

Well done to all our under 8s and under 10s who travelled to the Connacht Centre of Excellence on Saturday to take part in the County Roscommon Go Games blitz. Once again thanks to the parents who travelled.

The under 12s had a busy week meeting Oran twice, in the division 2 league. On Monday St. Michaels came out on top but lost out to Oran in the semi final playoff at Ardcarne Park on Sunday. They will now have to play St. Ciarans in the shield final.

The under 14 boys play their next division 2 championship match away to St. Aidans on Monday 5th September.

The under 16 boys had an early trip to Ballinlough on Sunday morning but it was worth the journey as they came away with a hard earned three point win over Michael Glaveys.

The minors are out twice this coming week, on Tuesday they are at home to Michael Glaveys and away to Boyle on Friday.

The under 14 girls play Kilglass on Wednesday at 7.30pm in Ardcarne Park and on Saturday they travel to Ballyleague to play St. Faithleachs at 6.30pm.

Best of luck to our girls who are taking part in the under 13 and under 15 county development squads on Saturday.

This is the last week for entry into the 50/50 draw with the first draw on 4th September. There are still some tickets available so please support and thanks to those who have already bought or shared tickets.

Best of luck to all children who return to and, in some cases, start school and college this week.

The club extends its sympathy to the O'Dowd family, Cootehall on their recent bereavement.
