Weekly Update

Well done to our U.14 boys team who won the Div 3 Championship in Kilglass on Saturday last against a strong St. Faithleach's team, on a final scoreline of 3 09 to 2 08.  This was a very exciting and nail-biting match right up to the final whistle .  Celebrations took place in the Complex and there was a huge turnout there to welcome home the jubilant team. Congratulations and well done to the Management team of Michael Henry, Eddie Heslin and Peter Burke.

Many thanks to the parents for their support throughout the year and also to the great support that turned up both in Kilglass and at Ardcarne Park on Saturday afternoon.


The U.12 team play Boyle on Wednesday next at 7pm in Ardcarne Park in the semi-final of the Keenan Cup, please come and support the team.


LADIES: The U.10 girls played Ballinameen last Thursday evening.  Training for U.10/12's is on Monday from 7 to 7.45.  The U. 14's play St. Ciarans in the shield semifinal next weekend, see fixtures for details. 


The lotto draw took place in Tara Marina on Sunday last.  There was no lotto winner, four match 3 winners were Concepta Simon, David Regan, Brendan Walsh and Derek McGuinness. The next draw takes place in Clancys on Sunday 27th September for a new jackpot of E4,200 and Jenny Bruen's team are in charge of ticket sales.


A Sky Dive is taking place to defray the debt on the Ardcarne Community Complex on the 29th September, Marie Heslin and Dermot Cox are volunteering to Dive.  Sponsorship cards are available through Club Members and at all local business outlets.


The club extends its condolences to the Gildea family, Derrynine and the Lenehan family Ballyfarnon on the death of Mickey Lenehan RIP.


Anyone interseted in starting Pilates or Kettlebells in Ardcarne Community Centre this Thursday Sept. 17th at the following times: 10am and 6.15pm kettlebells.  10.50 and 7pm Beginners pilates, 11.50 and 8pm Intermediate Pilates.  Booking is essential as places are limited.  Contact Joanna on 096 1219674/ 071 9668788.
