Weekly Update

The U.21 team were defeated by a stronger St. Faithleach's team on Sunday last in Strokestown in the second round of the championship. Hard luck to the team and management Anthony Farry, Bearach Doherty and Tommie Daly.

As part of Roscommon GAA County Football Development Plan, there is an end of season Regional Competition. 8 squads will be selected from clusters of Clubs geographically across the County. St. Michael's, St. Ronan's and Boyle are our cluster. The purpose of the competitions are to give a selected group of players in the County an opportunity to play in a 15 a-side Division 1 Competition and assist skills development. There will be 2 competitions an U.17(players born between 1997 and 1998) and U.15(players born between 1999 and 2000) and competitions will be held over the next 6 weeks. St. Michael's strongly support and encourage participation. More details to follow.

The annual fuel draw is in full swing at the minute and the 1st prize of that trailer-load of timber is currently on tour of the parish.

The last lotto draw took place in the Watersplash on Sunday 27th, there was no jackpot winner. No's drawn were 1, 3, 18 and 24. Five E20 winners were Clive Gillespie, Raymond Latimer, Zara Regan, Willie & Mary Kearns and Jenny Bruen. The current jackpot is E2,000.

Best of luck to Conor King and Jennifer Logan who are getting married on Friday next in Knockmore.
The Club extends its deepest sympathies to the Bambrick family Cootehall on the death of Carmel Greene, and also to Fr. Brian and the Kane family, Drumshambo on the death of Teresa Kane, may they rest in peace.
