At a well attended Annual General Meeting of the St Michael's GAA Club which was held in the Ardcarne Park Sports Complex on Sunday, the 24th of November 2013. Outgoing Chairman Dermot Cox gave a comprehensive detailed report. He expressed gratitude to all the people who helped in any way throughout the year all Members, Committees, Officers, Sponsors, Parents, Supporters, Neighbours of Park, Tus Worker and Contractor Albert Noone for construction of new dressing rooms. Outgoing Secretary Nuala O Hara also gave a comprehensive detailed report, also paying tribute to all involved over the year. Outgoing Treasurer Eddie Heslin gave a comprehensive detailed financial report, which showed the Club once again in a health financial position for 2014. The meeting was also informed that the Intermediate Teams Management were stepping down. A little discussion took place on various issue within the Club after the Election of Officers and this brought proceedings to a close for the 2013 AGM.
Indoor Training for U6s on Friday next, the 13th of December 2013 at Ardcarne Park Sports Complex from 6.30pm to 7.15pm. This is followed by Indoor Training for U9s on Friday next, the 13th of December 2013 at Ardcarne Park Sports Complex from 7.15pm to 8.15pm. All are welcome.
The Lotto draw is in Henry's Bar, Cootehall on Sunday next, the 15th of December 2013 for a Jackpot of € 8,600.00.
Good luck to the St Michael's Music Group of Diarmuid Regan, Fiachra Heny, Noelle Martin, Lorcan Regan and Niamh Clancy in the Scór na nÓg County Final to be held in the Dean Crowe Theatre in Athlone on Sunday next, the 15th December 2013.
Well done to the Scor na nOg Question Time Team of Miryam Daly, Katie Corcoran, Fiachra Henry and Alan O Connor who finished third in the County Final which was held in Kilbride on Saturday last, the 7th of December 2013. They finished with a total of 72 points in the final which was won by last years winners Padraig Pearses on 77 points. Once again thank you to all involved with the Team.
Good luck to Club Player Shane Gillispie, who is part of the Ballyhasie Agricultural College Football Team, who play in the All Ireland Agricultural Championship Football Final against Pallaskenry Agricultural College on Saturday next, the 14th of December 2013 in Tullamore, Co. Offaly.
