Weekly Update

A spirited St Michael's Junior Team were defeated by Western Gaels in Round 2 of the 2013 Roscommon Junior 'A' Championship on Sunday last, the 14th of July 2013 at a hot and sunny  Ardcarne Park.

The St Michael's Intermediate Team play against Western Gaels on Saturday next, the 20th of July 2013 in the O Gara Cup League at Frenchpark at 8.00pm.

 

The St Michael's Junior Team play against St Ronan's  in the Div 4 League Group A at Ardcarne Park on Friday next, the 19th of July 2013 at 8.00pm.

 

The U14 Boys Team play against Kilglass/St Barry's on Thursday last, the 18th of July 2013 at Tarmonbarry in the Div 3 U14 Championship at 7.00pm. 

 

The Lotto draw was held in Clancy's Bar, Cleen, Knockvicar on Sunday last, the 14th of July 2013, for a jackpot of € 7,500.00. The numbers drawn were 5, 13, 17, 21. There was no Jackpot Winner, no match 3 winners, Five €20 winners; Padraig Glynn, Roscommon, Mark Heslin, Knockvicar, Alan O Hara, Cootehall, Willie and Mary Kearns, Smutternage, Elish Beirne, Battlebridge. The next draw is in Mooring's Bar, Knockvicar on Sunday, the 28th of July 2013, for a jackpot of € 7,600.00. 

 

The 2013 St Michael's GAA Club Minor Board GAA Cúl Camp for Children aged between 6 - 14 years took place on Friday and Saturday last, the 12th and 13th of July 2013 at a sun drech Ardcarne Park, There were in excess of one hundred boys and girls in attendance over the two days, with members of the St Ronan's GAA Club taking part in this year Cúl Camp and adding a new dimension to the Camp. A big thank you to all involved over the two days from Parents, Coaches, Stewards and to those who made the tea and prepared food and especially to the organisers of the Event. Also a big thank you to Ciara Dowd for the Sponsorship of this year Cúl Camp. 

 

The Club would like to extends its condolences to the Mc Glynn Family, Clooncoose on the death of Martina Sister the late Mary Nagy (RIP),England.

 

Good Luck to Sorcha Bruen (Capt) and the Roscommon Minor Ladies Team, who play against Clare in the All Ireland 'B' Semi Final on Saturday next, the 20th of July 2013 in Ballinasloe at 2.00pm.

 

Good Luck to Sean Farrell and the Roscommon Minor Team against Mayo in the Connacht Minor Football Championship Final on Sunday next, the 21st of July 2013 in Mc Hale Park,Castlebar at 12.00pm.
