The Intermediate Team game against Tulsk in O Gara Cup League maybe
fixed for Sunday next the 15th of April 2012 in Ardcarne Park at
3.00pm. Check fixtures.
The Minor Team were defeated by a strong St Barry's side at Ardcarne
Park on Monday last the 2nd of April 2012 in the Minor Div 3 League.
They play St Ronan's in Ballyfaron on Sunday next 15th of April 2012
at 12.00pm in the Minor Div 3 League.
The Junior Team played Western Gaels in the Div 4 League on Sunday
last 8th of April 2012 in Frenchpark. More details next week.
The U12 Girls Team play Kilmore in their first Championship game of
the season in Group D in Kilmore on Wednesday next 18th of April at
7.00pm. Please support all our Teams.
Training continues for Minors, U16s and U14s during the week. Training
for U10 and U12 Girls continues during the week. Training for U10 and
U12 Boys is on Friday next 13th of April 2012 at 7.00pm.
The St Michael's Underage Ladies Football Club was revived in
2011.There were 22 girls aged between under 12 and under 10 registered
with the Ladies County Board and they got to the Division 4 Final,
where they played Castlerea, with the first match ended in a draw and
they were defeated in the reply. The girls were trained by the
following coaches, Emear Killalea, Angela Moran, Nicola McDermott and
Catriona Leonard. They will commence their Under 12 Championship for
2012 on the 18th April when they play Kilmore with coaches Emear
Killalea, Angela Moran and Sorcha Bruen. As funding is important, the
St Michael's Ladies Club will have their first ever church gate
collection on the 14th & 15th April 2012 at churches in Drumboylan,
Crossna, Cootehall and Coorigeenroe. Please support and Keep the girls
playing.
The Lotto draw was held in The Moorings, Knockvicar on Sunday last the
8th of April 2012, for a jackpot of €4,300.00. More details next week.
Dates for your dairy, Club's Annual Golf Classic takes place this year
on Saturday the 5th of May 2012 at Carrick on Shannon Golf Club.
Club's Parish Night Out this year is being held on Sunday night the
6th of May 2012 in the Kilronan Castle Hotel, Ballyfaron.
The Club extends its condolences to the Molloy family and O Hara
Family, Breenletter and the Mc Morrow Family, Fostra on their recent
bereavement.
Congratulations to the Roscommon U21 Team, who defeated Sligo in the
Connacht Final on Saturday last the 7th of April at Dr Hyde Park,
Roscommmon and Congratulations also to the Roscommon Minor Team on
retaining the Connacht Minor League. With this success, Four Connachts
in Two years ( 1 senior, 2 U21, 1 Minor), funding is important and
with the County Board launching its Roscommon GAA Members Draw 2012,
where the local Club also benefits if the Club target is reached. With
33 cash prizes over three draw and the first draw in May. Tickets are
now available from the Club at €100. By supporting this draw you are
supporting you Club and County.
Well done to Katie Daly, who is part of the Roscommon U14 Ladies
Team, who defeated Sligo on Friday last the 6th of April 2012 in
Tubbercurry. Katie score 1-06 on the day. Congratulations also to
Carrick on Shannon CS U14 Ladies Team who have reached the Connacht
U14 B Ladies Final, which also includes Katie Daly.
