Underage: Very well done to our U. 10 footballers representing Ardcarne Community Games who had a very hard fought victory over neighbours, Boyle on Saturday last on the scoreline of 5-8 to 4-9. The next game will be a home game against the winners of Kilmore and St. Croans. The next blitz for U.8 and U.10s is fixed for Friday, 9th June at Ardcarne park versus Skreen from Sligo. Training continues for all U.6, U. 8 and U. 10s each Friday at 6 30pm. The timing may vary if the field is otherwise occupied. The under 12 mixed division 6 team were beaten by Roscommon Gaels last Thursday evening in Roscommon. The division 3 under 12's beat Tulsk at Ardrcarne Park on Saturday.
Ladies GAA: The under 12 girls (team picture below)had their second win in the championship when they beat Kilbride on Monday but they were narrowly beaten by St. Dominic's. Their next match is away to Elphin/Kilmore on Thursday.
The under 14 girls had a convincing win over St. Mary's on Wednesday and they play at home again this Wednesday against Kilglass Gaels.
Sympathy: The club extends it's condolences to Elaine Clarke and family, Woodbrook on their recent bereavement.
St. Michaels is a rural GAA Club based in North County Roscommon with it's home ground at Ardcarne Park. The Club colours are Green and Red.

Weekly Update 21/5/17
Ladies Football: Well done to Sorcha Bruen (captain), Katie Daly, Ciara Dowd and Catherine Flynn who were part of the Shannon Gaels team who won the ladies division 3 league final on Sunday.
Ardcarne Park was the venue for the Ladies under 14 Connacht B final between Sligo and Leitrim on Sunday last. Well done and thanks to all who helped prepare the grounds and to all who helped throughout. Well done to Turlough Bruen who was the match referee.
Our under 14 girls were beaten by Castlerea last week. They play St. Mary's at Ardcarne Park this Wednesday at 7pm. The under 12 girls play Kilbride on Monday.
The under 12 mixed team are due to play Tulsk at Ardcarne Park in the division 3 Spring league next Saturday at 12noon.

Winner: The biggest winner in the club this week was Conal Mc Loughlin, Ardconra who scooped the club lotto jackpot of €8,300 at the draw in Clancy's on Sunday night. The winning numbers were 4, 12, 21, 29.
Intermediate: Our Intermediates managed to graft a single point out of their championship encounter against St. Barry's at Kilglass on Sunday when both teams finished with 1-05 each. Thanks to Kilglass Gaels for their hospitality.
Underage: The division 3 under 12 mixed team lost out to St. Aidan's in Ballyforan on Sunday morning.

Adult Football: Our Intermediate team did not get the start they had hoped for in this year's championship when they suffered defeat at the hands of St. Dominic's at a sun soaked Orchard Park on Sunday. The focus now shifts to the championship appointment with St. Barry's at Kilglass next Sunday at 2.00pm.
Underage: The under 14 boys suffered a heavy defeat in the division 1 league at Ardcarne Park on Sunday when Roscommon Gaels paid a visit.
The under 12 boys grinded out a victory over St. Faithleach's at Ardcarne Park in the division 3 Spring league on Wednesday. In the closing stages the match looked destined for a draw but the home team managed a last minute score to win out by a single point. They play away to St. Aidan's next Saturday at 12 noon.
The under 12 mixed division 6 team play St. Ronan's at Ardcarne Park this Tuesday evening at 7.30pm.
Ladies: Hard luck to the under 16 girls who were beaten by a stronger St. Ciaran's team in the county final. Thanks to the girls for their hard work and to their trainers Kevin Guckian and Clive Gillespie and also to Niamh Sheerin and Eithne Henry for their assistance. Thanks also to the parents for supporting the girls and management.

Adult Football: It's Championship time! Our intermediate team take to the field in the 2017 championship next Sunday 7th May against St. Dominic's in Elphin at 2.00pm. Underage: The division 3 under 12 boys lost out by 4 points to Strokestown last Wednesday, they play St. Faithleach's this Wednesday evening in Ardcarne Park at 7.00pm. The division 6 under 12 team play Western Gaels on bank holiday Monday in Frenchpark at 7.00pm.
The under 14 boys lost to St. Brigid's last Thursday, they have another home game this Thursday against Roscommon Gaels at 7.00pm.
Ladies: Best wishes to the under 16 girls team and management in the division 4 A final on Monday 1st May where they will meet St. Ciaran's. The under 12 girls were beaten by Boyle last week.
Congratulations: Congratulations to St. Michael's club members who were on the Carrick-on-Shannon Community School football team which won the Connacht Junior B football final in Bekan last Tuesday. They were Diarmuid Regan, Niall Sheerin, Alan Mc Glynn, Fiachra Henry, BrĂan O'Dowd and Conor Moffatt who was part of the management team.
AGM: The AGM of Ardcarne Park Development Committee who have responsibility for the hire and maintenance of the Sports Complex will be held in the Complex on Tuesday at 9.30pm. All are welcome to attend.
