Intermediate Win

Our Intermediate team beat St. Brigids  by two points in the O'Gara Cup at Ardcarne Park this evening.

Weekly Update

The Intermediate Team defeated St Dominic's on Wednesday last, the 18th of July 2012 in the O Gara Cup League at Ardcarne Park. They play St Brigid's on Tuesday next, the 24th of July 2012 in the O Gara Cup League at Ardcarne Park at 8.00pm. 

On Sunday last, the 22nd of July 2012, The Junior Team received a walkover in their First Round Championship Game in the Junior A Championship against Roscommon Gaels. 

The U14 Team were defeated by St Barry's in their first game of the Div 4 Championship on Thursday next, the 19th of July 2012 in Tarmonbarry.

The U13 Team play Eire Og in the Keenan Cup on Tuesday next, the 24th of July 2012 at James Timothy Park, Loughglynn at 7.30pm. 

The U16 Team play Kilglass Gael's in the Div 4 Championship  on Sunday next, the 29th of July 2012 at Kilglass at 6.00pm. Please support all our Teams.

Training continues for Intermediate, Junior, Minors, U16s, U14s and U12 Boys during the week. Training for U10s, U8s and U6s on Friday next, the 27th of July 2012 at 7.00pm.

The Lotto draw was held in The Watersplash Bar, Cootehall on Sunday last, the 22nd of July 2012, for a jackpot of  €5,000.00. The numbers drawn were 4, 14, 18, 22. There was no winner, One match 3 winner, €100; Ger O Dowd, Nenagh, Co Tipperary. The next draw is in Beirnes of Battlebridge, on Sunday, the 5th of August 2012, for a jackpot of €5,100.00.

The St Michael's GAA Club Minor Board GAA Cúl Camp for Children aged between 6 - 12 years, which took place on Friday and Saturday last, at Ardcarne Park was a great success, with 90 kids attending on both days. A big thank you to all involved over the two days from Parents, Coaches, Stewards and to those who made the tea and prepared food and especially to the organisers of the Event. 

Tickets are now available from the Club, for the Club Ros Comain Race Day, which will be held at Roscommon Race Course on Tuesday the 7th of August 2012. Any one interest in going can contact any Club Officer.

Congratulations to Sorcha Bruen and the Roscommon Minor Ladies Team, who defeated Cavan in the All Ireland 'B' Semi Final on Saturday last, the 21st of July 2012 in Ballinamore. They now play Clare in the All Ireland 'B' Final on the 6th of August 2012. 

Good Luck to Laura Reynolds, Eslin, who is taking part in the Olympics in London in the next few weeks.

The Club extends its condolences to the Doyle Family, Cleaheen on their recent bereavement.

Junior A game cancelled

Our Junior A championship game against Roscommon Gaels which was fixed for today in Dr. Hyde Park has been cancelled as Rosscommon Gaels cannot field a team.

The Under 14s were beaten in their first round match of the championship by St. Barrys in Tarmonbarry on Thursday evening.

Intermediate

The Intermediate team had a 6 point win over St. Dominics in the O'Gara Cup @ Ardcarne Park on Wednesday evening.

The Junior Team were defeated by St Croan's  in the Div 4 League on Saturday last, the 14th of July 2012 at Ardcarne Park. The Intermediate Team play St Dominic's on Wednesday next, the 18th of July 2012 in the O Gara Cup League at 8.00pm in Ardcarne Park.

On Sunday next, the 22nd of July 2012, All roads lead to Roscommon as our Junior Team play their First Round Championship Game in the Junior A Championship against Roscommon Gaels in Dr Hyde Park, Roscommon at 5.00pm.

Preparations are now again in place for the St Michael's GAA Club Minor Board GAA Cúl Camp for Children aged between 6 - 12 years, which takes place on Friday, 20th of July 2012 between 5.00pm - 8.00pm and Saturday, 21st of July 2012 between 10.00am - 2.00pm at Ardcarne Park. The Camp will include skills and blitz games for Girls and Boys.

The Second Draw of the Roscommon 2012 County Board Members Draw took place at half time in the match between Roscommon and Tyrone on Saturday last, the 14th July 2012. There was no Club winners in the second draw, one draw still to come.

Hard Luck to the Roscommon Senior Team against Tyrone in the second round of the Qualifiers on Saturday last, the 14th of July 2012 in Dr Hyde Park, Roscommon,

Congratulations to the Roscommon Minor Team who defeated Mayo in the Connacht Minor Football Championship Final on Sunday last, the 15th of July 2012 in Dr Hyde Park, Roscommon.

Congratulations to Aisling Bruen, who represented her School and Club in the Cumann na mBunscol at the Connacht Finals on Sunday last in Dr Hyde Park, Roscommon.

Weekly Update

There was no adult action last weekend. The Junior Team play Kilmore in the Div 4 League on next Saturday, the 7th of July 2012 in Ardcarne Park at 7.30pm.

The Minor game against Shannon Gaels on Thursday last, the 28th of June 2012 in Croghan was called off due to the weather.

Training continues for Intermediate, Junior, Minors, U16s, U14s and U12 Boys during the week. Training for U10s, U8s and U6s on Friday next, the 6th of July 2012 at 7.00pm.

The St Michael's GAA Club Minor Board GAA Cúl Camp, which was to be held at Ardcarne Park on Friday and Saturday last, was cancelled due to the adverse bad weather. It is hoped to run it in the very near future.

A big thank you to all those who bought a ticket for the Roscommon 2012 County Board Members Draw. By supporting the draw you supported you Club and County. First draw took place at half time in the match between Roscommon and Armagh on Sunday last, the 1st July 2012. There was no Club winners in the first draw, two draws still to come.

Congratulations to the Roscommon Senior Team on their win against Armagh in the first round of the Qualifiers on Sunday last, the 1st of July 2012 in Dr Hyde Park, Roscommon and to the Roscommon Minor Team on their win against Galway in the Semi Final of the Connacht Minor Football Championship on Saturday last, the 30th of June 2012 in Tuam Stadium.

The Club extends its condolences to the Family and Relations, on the death of the late Enda Mc Loughlin (RIP), London and formerly of Drumboylan and to the Family and Relations, on the death of the late Thomas Coggins (RIP), Derreentunny, Corrigeenroe.
