Junior Men 

Best of luck to our adult men's team who take on St Ronan's at 3.30pm on Sunday in Ardcarne Park in the Junior championship.

Underage Boys

Our u13 boys had a convincing victory over Shannon Gaels in Croghan on Thursday evening in Division 4 while our u17s were edged out by St Dominic's after an exciting Division 3 game in Knockcroghery on Monday last. Our u15 boys took part in a very competitive Division 2 Féile tournament in Enfield on Saturday. In warm sunny conditions the lads topped their group to qualify for the final which they lead throughout until an injury time goal from St Aidan's denied them victory by the narrowest of margins. Well done to the panel and their coaches on their performance - they can take a lot of positives from the event as they prepare for their championship semi-final next month.

Our u13 boys play Elphin-Ballinameen on Monday 30th August at 7.30pm in Elphin in the latest round of the Division Two Championship and play Clann na Gael on Thursday 2nd Sept at 7.30pm in Ballyfarnon in Division Four.

Our u17s continue their championship campaign on Wednesday 1st Sept at 7.30pm in Ardcarne Park when they also host Clann na Gael.

Our combined U11 boys had two fantastic competitive games against Western Gael’s Saturday morning. Huge thanks to Western Gael’s for hosting it so well!


Our next game is Tuesday evening 31st v Tulsk In Ballyfarnon at 7pm.


LGFA

The under 19 girls recorded a good victory over St Faithleach on Monday last 


They play Michael Glaveys in Ardcarne Park on Monday at 7.


The under 14 girls beat Boyle on Monday last in the first game in the Northern League


They play Shannon Gaels away on Thursday


The Junior girls played Castlerea in their 1st Championship game on Friday last.

They play Northern Harps in Ardcarne Park on Saturday the 11th at 10.00


The under 10 and under 8  girls played Northern Harps away on Friday evening 

They are due to play Kilmore/ Kilglass this week


The under 12 girls play Leitrim Gaels on Wednesday in Ballyfarnon at 7


The under 15 girls had a huge success in Féile on Saturday last

GAA Draw

The club is seeking the support of its members, supporters and everyone in the community in the Roscommon GAA Club Rossie  draw, tickets for which are currently on sale.

 LGFA 

The under 19 girls play St Faithleach away on Monday evening,  

The under 14 girls play Boyle in Ardcatme Park. The Junior girls play Castlerea away on Friday evening.  The under 8/ 10 girls play Northern Harps on Friday in Ballinameen.  Best of luck to the  under 15 girls who are taking part in Feile on Saturday next.

Our u13 boys play St Dominic's on Monday 23rd August at 7.30pm in Ballyfarnon in the latest round of the Division Two Championship and play Shannon Gaels on Thursday 26th at 7.30pm in Croghan in Division Four. 

Our u15 boys will take part in the John West Féile competition on Saturday 28th in Enfield. This is a one day blitz event with teams playing a series of games starting at 1.45pm with a final scheduled to throw in at 7pm! 

Our u17s resume their championship campaign with a trip to Knockcroghery on Monday 23rd to take on St Dominic's at 7.30pm.

Academy  

Our U11s combined team are playing Western Gael’s next Saturday 11:30 in Frenchpark in opening league game. 

U7's played Elphin this morning. Well done to all and gave a great performance and display of football.

A special congrats to the Limerick Hurlers on their All Ireland victory, there is at least one very happy academy coach!

St Michaels Notes

Under 13

Our u13 boys have a busy week ahead with Division Four games on Wednesday evening in Cootehall against Kilglass Gaels / St. Barry's, and on Saturday morning in Ballyfarnon against Roscommon Gaels, and a Division Two game on Monday 23rd at home to St. Dominic's.

Under 17
Our under 17 boys played their opening game of the championship last Wednesday delivering an encouraging performance before losing out to St Aidan's. This week they entertain St Ciaran's in Ballyfarnon on Wednesday 18th at 7.30pm.

Roscommon u20s
All roads led to Croke Park on Sunday as a large contingent of supporters from the parish turned out to support Fiachra Henry and the Roscommon under 20s in the All Ireland Final. The dream didn't become reality but we are no less proud of this talented group of players and their management and We thank them for all the enjoyment they gave us this summer.

Well done to our under 16 who won their county final vs Four roads on Tuesday last

Well done to Leah McCawley, Carrie Earley and the County Under 16 women who won the C Connacht title on Friday last.

Best wishes to Clodagh Daly, player and Joe Daly who play Sligo in Hyde Park on Monday in the Connacht Final.

The under 14 girls are playing the first round of the Northern League on Thursday in Ardcarne Park.

The under 10/ 8 girls play  Boyle away this week.

County News

Congratulations to the Roscommon Under 20 management and panel, especially our own Fiachra Henry, on reaching the All Ireland Final after another memorable performance against Down on Saturday. We wish the very best of luck to all involved when they take on Offaly in Croke Park on Sunday next looking to secure Roscommon's third national title at the grade.

 

Commiserations to Sean Moran and the Roscommon minors who lost to Sligo in the Connacht final on Friday.

 


Underage Boys

The under 15 boys suffered their first defeat in the Division 2 championship on Wednesday last in Ballyforan against St Aidan's. The boys have still qualified for the semi-finals which will be played in a few weeks time. 

 

On the playing fields this week, our under 13 boys face Elphin-Ballinameen away in Division 4 on Monday 9th August while our under 17 boys open their campaign when they travel to Ballyforan on Wednesday 11th to play St Aidan's.

County News

Congratulations to Sean Moran and the Roscommon minor panel and management on a tremendous comeback victory over Galway in the Connacht championship semi final last week. Hopefully they can retain the title when they take on Sligo in Dr Hyde Park on Friday.

 

Best of luck also to Fiachra Henry and the Roscommon under 20s who play Down in the All Ireland semi final on Saturday. It's been a fantastic campaign so far and hopefully they can see it through to its conclusion.

 

Well done to our club representatives on the Roscommon under 14 and 15 development panels who took part in the Connacht blitz tournament at the Centre of Excellence on Saturday. Ruadhan Henry, Barry Monahan, Shane O'Dowd and Daniel Regan played for the u15s while Ronan Guckian, Tommy Lennon, Iollan Morahan and Jeffrey Oates lined out for the u14s.

 

 

Underage Boys

The under 15 boys continued their good run in the Division 2 championship on Tuesday at Ardcarne Park when they overcame a strong Western Gaels challenge. They travel to Ballyforan to take on St Aidan's on Wednesday at 7.30pm. 

 

The under 13 boys had two games in Division 4 this week putting up good performances against St Dominic's on Monday and Padraig Pearses on Sunday. Their next outing is against  Elphin-Ballinameen on Monday 9th August.
