Update 26/6/16
St. Michaels GAA Club celebrates it's 75th anniversary this year. Plans are afoot to have a celebration on the first weekend in October. It is intended to collate a history of the club and it is in this regard that we invite members past and present to submit your memory or story of any aspect of the club for consideration. We would love to get any old documents, photographs or memorobilia such as club jerseys, medals, boots etc. All will be returned to the owners. The under 14 boys were beaten by Ballinameen/Elphin in their first championship match at Ardcarne Park last week.

The under 12 girls play Shannon Gaels on Wednesday at Ardcarne Park at 6.30pm.
The under 10s will play in the Go Games football blitz in Frenchpark next Saturday morning at 11am.

Update 19/6/16
Well done to all who took part in the Under 8 Go Games football blitz which was hosted by St. Michaels at Ardcarne Park last Saturday. Thanks to all parents and coaches who helped out and also to the visiting teams from St. Ronans, Kilmore, St. Barrys and Kilglass Gaels.
Our under 14 boys have their first game of the championship at home this Thursday at 7.30pm against Ballinameen/Elphin.
The Under 16 boys start their championship campaign next Sunday at Ardcarne Park with Kilglass/Barrys providing the opposition.
Well done to Gary Corcoran who captained Ballyfarnon NS in the final of the Cuman na mBunscoil last Thursday.
Well done to the boys from Cootehall NS on winning the 3/4 teacher primary soccer schools county title at Donamon last Friday.
After a thrilling encounter against Strokestown which culminated in a two point loss our under 12 girls travel to Croghan to take on Shannon Gaels on Monday evening 21st June at 7.30pm.
The club lotto draw will take place in Henrys Bar next Sunday night for a jackpot of €6,100.
The Roscommon team and Management are holding an open evening for supporters at St Faithleach's GAA club the home club of the Murtagh Brothers, Brian, CiarĂ¡in and Diarmuid on Monday next June 20 .
The open evening will start at 7pm and supporters will be able to watch the team take part in training and also meet the players and get autographs and pictures.
This is a free event and will be the only opportunity to meet the team before they meet Galway in the Connacht Final which is on Sunday July 10th.

Update 12/6/16
Pride of place this week goes to our Under 12 team who defeated Michael Glaveys in the final of the Division 3 Spring league on a scoreline 4-09 to 1-02 last Friday evening in Frenchpark. Congratulations to the panel and management. Pictures below of the shield being presented to joint captains Cathal Guckian and Sean Moran and also of the winning team.
Our under 14 boys also brought some silverware back to the club during the week when they beat Leitrim Gaels in the final of the Niall Higgins memorial tournament in Drumshanbo. Congratulations to the team and management and thanks to Allen Gaels for their wonderful hospitality. Picture below with the Cup.
Our Intermediate team take to the pitch again next Saturday evening in their second match of the championship against our neighbours Shannon Gaels. Match updates will be tweeted on @michaels_gaa .
The girls teams have two home games this week with the under 12s due to play Ballinameen on Tuesday evening at 7pm and the under 14s line out against Strokestown on Friday at 7.30pm.
There was no winner of the club lotto jackpot which now goes to €6,100. Numbers drawn on Sunday night were 18,19,24,26. Five winners of €20 each in the envelope draw were Bernadette Mc Loughlin, Una Connolly, Maureen O'Connor, Jimmy & Mary Kearns and Kevin Gilboy.

Update 5/6/16
The highlight of the week was the Under 12 team reaching the division 3 Spring league final which will be held in Frenchpark on Friday evening 10th June at 7.30pm. Inorder to secure a place in the final they had to get past Tulsk which they managed last Monday evening at Ardcarne Park. The opposition in the final will be the winners of the semi-final between Tulsk and Michael Glaveys which takes place on bank holiday Monday. Best of luck to our team and management in the final. Our under 14 boys take part in the Niall Higgins memorial tournament hosted by Allen Gaels on bank holiday Monday. Thanks to Allen Gaels for inviting St. Michaels to take part.
The under 12 girls play Kilbride at home in round 3 of the championship on Tuesday at 7.30pm and are out again against Strokestown next Sunday at 7pm also in Ardcarne Park.

The intermediate team received a walk over compliments of Elphin in the Tansey cup at the weekend.
The club fundraising clothes collection continues and bags can be left at the complex.
The club lotto jackpot of €5,900 was not won last weekend. The numbers drawn were 11, 15, 19, 21. There were two match three winners who were Sean & Mary Wynne, Arigna and Martin Burke, Knockvicar. Next draw is Sunday night 12th June for a jackpot of €6,000.
Well done to all from Ardcarne who competed in the Community Games athletics county finals in Ballyleague at the weekend. In total the Ardcarne team brought home 30 medals.
