Weekly Update

On Sunday last, the 27th of May 2012, seen the start of the Roscommon Intermediate Championship, where St Michael's played St Dominic's in Round 1 of the Intermediate Championship in a sunny and breeze  Strokestown's New GAA Grounds. St Michael's started badly and found themselves 1-01 down after five minutes. Two frees from Paul Simon had St Michael's back in the game after twelve minutes. Further points for St Michael's from Ronan Cox ( 2 frees), Neil Cox and Niall Conlon, with St Dominic's adding a single free to their total, to leave the half time scoreline reading St Michael's 0-06  St Dominic's 1-02. St Michael's also hit six wides to St Dominic's one wide in that first half. St Michael's started the second half with a quick point from Niall Conlon and this was add to by an other point from Ronan Martin, to leave three points between the sides. By now St Michael's were having large amount of possession and only for a further five wides and a Liam Conlon goal bound shot rebounding off the post, the game could have been over as a contest.
